St. Patrick’s Day in Castlebar
“Féile an Chaisleáin”, a concert/fiesta that will take place on Market Sq. from 12pm. Local musicians, local dance school, street entertainers, bouncy castles, face-painters, a magician etc. will all be there performing. Beidh ceol agus craic, damhsa agus spraoi ann. This year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade will take place Friday, March 17th @ 2pm. There will be plenty of colour and festival fun and they hope everyone gets out to enjoy themselves and make it a special day.

Dancing at the Crossroads
What: Dancing at the Crossroads. A great family evening out.
Where: Castlebar Town, Mayo. Music performances take place on Tucker and Linenhall Street. The night promises to be a fun, with plenty to entertain children, bouncy castles, face painting, a rodeo bull etc. The line up starts with traditional music and dance groups. Spectators can join in the dancing too. A workshop will be held by earlier in the day at 2pm (To be confirmed) in The Linenhall, for people to brush up on their dance steps.

Castlebar Adventure Duathlon Race
What:Castlebar Adventure Duathlon Race, Castlebar, Mayo.
Why: 3.5 km run, 7km hilly cycle, 8km mountain trial run,15km flat cycle & 3.5km flat run, total course distance 37km. There is also a short course, totaling 29km. The event is a mix of running & cycling over a hilly course. Lough Lannagh is less than 7 minutes walk from race headquarters on Market Square. Groups welcome.
